Hi all
I recently bought a roland gr 55 and gk3 for my telecaster.I setup the distances and string height properly.

The problem is that all my patches are too bright, too much hi frequenzies especially on clean and steel simulators.
The sound is not a mellow one no matter if i try ez edit or the patch eq.

Could it be the fact that gk3 is fixxed with double adhesive tape on the metal bridge?
Thanks,

What is your amplification system?

Have you set the GR-55 Output mode to match your amplification type?

I feel it is likely to be a setting.

Since you bought it recently, this is worth asking: would you be willing to perform a 'factory reset' that completely resets its memory? That way, you'd be sure you were starting with all the settings in their default positions.

When line/phones is selected, it helps to use a simple amp sim.   When configuring the amp sim, experiment with speaker type and mic position.

Too-bright sounds, in reality and in amp sims, can come from putting the mic right on the center of the speaker.  Increase the offset from the center (mic position).
Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp
