Today, (literally 20 mins ago) I just did the latest AIR update & since then on 2 different machines and since the AIR update when I try to connect to BTS now, for lack of abetter description, I can't seem to get either machine to recognize when powering either of the GP10's, on either machine...

The GP10 shows in the hardware & the BTS list as available but on highlighting & selecting it to connect, nothing happens and the device menu just sits there like you selected nothing...

Uninstalled & reinstalled as well but still get the same thing on both my WIN10 machines...

Got any ideas?

Do you have a recent system backup to restore from?

Yes, recovered yesterdays restore point but still nothing...

Also tried BTS reinstall as well but just throws me up identical errors on both machines...

Ah the nightmare of expired SSL certificates rears its head again

Then download a known version (Adobe AIR 24.0.0.180 ) that works with Boss Tone Studio

https://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html

"Adobe AIR 24 runtime downloads

Adobe AIR 24.0.0.180 Windows (10 MB)
http://download.macromedia.com/air/win/download/24.0/AdobeAIRInstaller.zip

Adobe AIR 24.0.0.180 Mac (20 MB)
http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/mac/download/24.0/AIRSDK_Compiler.dmg

Download the Adobe AIR file "AdobeAIRInstaller.exe" and locate it - then "right click" and choose "Run as Administrator"

and re-install BTS for GP-10

Yep, just did exactly as outlined ... AIR goes in fine, GP10 driver goes in fine... Soon as I go to install BTS identical error , 2 separate machines...

BTS is uninstalled from both machines and neither will accept reinstalling v1.0 or v1.1.1

WHY TODAY!?!    ----    *ARGH*

Well thanks Elantric... The earlier AIR version linked in your post works fine now, on the main anyway... will do it to the backup machine later...

Is there any specific reason why W10 does not play well with the newest AIR update V. ?

It's all about SSL certification- which varies on each OS.

And the poor Quality Control from Adobe - and Microsoft to be honest

Most of my apps I need to use are "broke"  with Windows 10 "1703   Redstone 2   Creators Update"  release
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_version_history

I'm migrating a new laptop back to Windows 8.1  - that OS works MUCH better for me (still hate Windows 10, (feel like I'm "beta testing" a new  Windows OS)

You're not alone E... I loathe W10 from the ground up! From their forced updates that make a mess of something every time one comes out & no option to opt-out of upgrades or even a simple way to run in an offline mode without being badgered to connect to the internut. As soon as I disconnect it, walk away for a 1/2 hour it will revert to the login screen & disallow everything until I pulg it back in...

F'N Irritating, annoying & totally counter productive to say the least...
