Can I connect more than one USB Audio device to the iPad?

I have 3 USB audio interfaces, a Steinberg UR44. Sonic Port VX and just arrived is the Vox Amplug I/O
All three work fine on their own and of course are self-powered and recognized by the AUM app, also just installed - it's great  :)

I connect them using a powered USB hub, but AUM on the iPad Air 2 (latest iOS) only recognizes the last one plugged into the USB
My aim is to have the Vox Amplug I/O feed into an amp FX and preferably an iRig Pro Duo for two vocalists (all battery powered)
- am I attempting the impossible when connecting more than one USB device?

Not possible  -  IOS only supports ONE external USB audio interface at a time

I use a Focusrite 18i20 +Apple Lightning USB Camera adapter with my iPad Air2

Most comprehensive list of IOS supported multi-channel interfaces is here

But IMHO - its asking a lot to use one iPad for real time Amp / cab Simulation + processes 2 vocalists  all at the same time.

If you need 100% battery power - For the same money a gently used Macbook running Apple Mainstage + Apple Logic with a Thunderbolt powered Audio interface might offer more value.

But read all about Battery powered IOS audio  / MIDI here

Sounds complicated - why isn't the UR44 with 6 inputs not sufficient?

Thanks for the quick and humble replies  :)
I may well have to stay with the UR44 and external battery pack, as we need to be on the street and highly portable.
I was also considering the iConnectAUDIO4 to which I can connect two iOS devices at once, to ease the processing? It also has more flexible output routing to provide personalised IEM for vocalists/musicians.
-which was one attraction of my original Vox and iRig Duo with my now imaginary multiple USBs  :'(

Too bad the iConnectAudio has a lot more noise and hiss compared to the competition

For that scenario - I do recommend the
