Hello,

Can anyone comment on the MIDI tracking performance of a steel string vs. nylon string guitar?

I've used the Godin LGX-SA for years with a GI-20, now with the MIDI Guitar app and beta MiGiC. (The GI-20 is still available.)
The JTV-59+FTP is my second all-purpose guitar/MIDI converter.

In recent months I've been working on classical-style technique with a Cordoba C9, nut width 2.04 inches.

At this point, I want to use my fingers vs. pick for MIDI sequencing. Funny to say in all the years I've played MIDI guitar beginning the Yamaha G10, I've never "played guitar technique, e.g. bends, strumming", but rather "played piano, organ, cello, etc."

I'm leaning towards the Godin Multiac Grand with a 2 inch nut width.  Second option is the Carvin NS1 with 1.88 inch nut width.  Third is the Godin Mulitac ACS with a slightly narrower 1 7/8 inch nut width.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Thanks,
wv
