Hi All,
Does anyone have a decent rock-n-roll harmonica patch they created? I'm talking about something along the lines of the Pretender's Middle of the Road sound. The default harmonica patch E32 is too clean and just doesn't cut it.

Thanks,
CJ

Good luck!

Probably best to pursue GR-30's  Guitar to MIDI out triggering another synth module that has more convincing blues harmonica.

not applicable for GR30, but there is a Blues Harmonica patch for GP-10 here

Was wanting to avoid adding another device to my setup. This is for live use. I was hoping that maybe someone had created something useful after all these years.

Thats not going to be very productive   - the Yahoo GR-30 Group owner abandoned maintenance , Its dead for conversation - only worthwhile thing that remains is the Yahoo GR-30 Group's Files Area there - thats where the GR-30 patches are

Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp

The problem, as I see it, is that most harmonica players will play a combination of single and multiple notes while playing a riff. Additionally, there are different types of harmonicas, blues, chromatic, etc.

Thinking about it, after choosing the type of harmonica you want to sound like, you could use the intelligent harmonizer to add the typical note, above or below the note you want to play, and set the volume low enough so that the harder you pluck, the more likely the sympathetic note will be heard.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Danoblaster Baritone w/GK-3
Gretsch Nashville, Viking
Fender Strats

Larrivee DV03RE
Parker Midi Fly
Seagull, S&P 12
VOX Phantom XII

That's good input. I'm not a harmonica player at all, so I don't really know the fundamentals of what they're doing. But I'll experiment with that.

Thanks,
