Yesterday I purchased a used Godin LGXT missing the tremolo bar.  Without a doubt one of the best guitars I've ever played.  Love at first play.  I've meet my soul mate guitar.  The fat neck, ebony board,  run your hands down the side of the neck and don't feel a single fret.  Not to mention the acoustic and electric sounds!  I still haven't fully gotten it setup perfectly with the GP-10 but I can tell, she's going be my #1.
Wrote Godin about the tremolo bar asking where I could get one.  5 minutes later the reply came.  There sending me one free of charge along with a set of tuner buttons in case I loose or crack any of them.  I know it doesn't cost them hardly anything, but that my friends is good customer service.  You just don't see that anymore!!  No way in hell would Gibson do that and I doubt Fender would either.  Line-6 would charge you for the email with their Variax guitars.
Way to go Godin.  I know what brand my next guitar will be!!  Time to stop looking in the catalogs.

Thanks,
Mike

The LGXT is a fantastic, versatile instrument.  Wish I never sold mine.

Sounds like their customer service is excellent, too!

I love customer service stories like that! I have to say that Line 6 was nice to me when I had a chimey piezo saddle that was well out of warranty. They sent me a couple of saddles at no charge.

A more recent story was from G7th capo. The release mechanism froze on my capo and their website said to send it back and they would replace it free of charge. The problem is that they are in the UK and I'm in the US. I emailed their support line anyway and they promptly emailed back that they would just send another one to me and asked if I could snap a picture of it(for proof, I guess). I had the new capo in 2 business days shipped international priority from the UK to Ohio, USA!

That's an awesome story.  I feel the same way about my LGXT.  Best guitar I've ever owned.  I honestly have not even played my other guitars since I got it.  This makes me feel even better about it!

I've played all of my other guitars since getting my LGXT, but it is the guitar I use most often.  ;D

Overall, I believe Godin guitars are my favorite brand, as I have 4 of them, and love every one of them. LGXTs are SO versatile, and feel so comfortable, like wearing old shoes. 2 LGXTs, 1 ACS-SA, 1 Multiac Fretless Nylon - all 13 pin.

I just want to chime in with this customer service story. I just bought a used pigtronix philosophers tone pedal and when I recieved it , found it didn't work right. I emailed pigtronix and they offered to fix it for free . All I had to do is pay freight. I had already read nothing but good about there products but this service is crazy good. The sad part is that big companies like Roland and Yamaha are too big to give this kind of service to customers and companies like pigtronix are too small to have the resources to create things like the VG series. My experience is that the big companies build such good quality that they seldom need repairs but if you do you might as well "piss up a rope". The small companies build not so perfect products but really take care of there customers. I guess we need both types of music gear manufacturers but it sure would be nice to have a happy medium.

There's so much truth in that.  I was the Customer Service Manager 9yr for CE Lab, Inc. until recently.  Nothing gets me more excited than to see great customer service. I used to keep Jeff Bezos (Amazon's Founder) rules for customer service pinned to my wall.  When your in customer service you're a representative of the company straight to the customer and your the customers mouth back into the company.  It's really great when that manages to work both ways.  I really love companies that are big enough they can give good customer service and not to big to forget who their customers are.  When you spend that much on a guitar, or whatever, it may not be a lot to the company, but it's a whole lot to me.  It gives me chills to think....hey they really care about "me".

I like it when people give company's at-a-boys for good service.  It's good for the company and it's a factor in my buying decision just like how's the quality of the product.  I really like reading them!

there great guitars!
i've owned  electrics , several acoustic both sa and non
afforadable, innovative, quality, and made here on the continent

they're electrics may not have the mojo or" pose ability " of a fender or gibson electric, but this less true with some there latest models
if they would  Please make a 25" scale electric,if it was synth access  that would be a bonus!

soon will own there acoustic brand seagull "mini jumbo" for fingerpicking due to it's wider nut and hopefully add some tronical tuners
will have to try the lgx-sa someday

I have 4 Godin's and a Seagull, and I'll be getting a 5th Godin soon. I have the LGXT, an A4 SA bass, A12 (best 12 string I've ever played), and a Redline Prototype. My Seagull is a 12 string, and I'll be getting a Session Tripleplay, within the next couple of weeks.

Believe it nor not, Guitar Center.

I'd bought an Ibanez Prestige S1520 FBNT used in mint condition but no case, no trem bar and no back cover (not at Guitar Center).  I had a case that fit but the bar was the main concern since the Lo Pro Edge is a very nice trem.  The guitar was in such great condition and such a good deal I had to have it.   I found out the bar was something like $100 (!) direct from Ibanez or resellers.

Visited Guitar Center of all places and most Ibanez guitars have the Edge Zero or similar zero resistance tremelos instead of the Lo Pro Edge or Edge trems (although I hear this years models have the Lo Pro and Edge against since the ZR and Edge Zero were reputed to have sustain problems apparently) - so finding a bar was proving to be difficult.

Long story short: They had one on a guitar on the sales floor - they just popped it off the guitar and said "Merry Christmas" and gave it to me.
