I bought a Godin LGXT a while back but with the VG-99 I get weird high pitched sounds when doing palm muting on heavy patches. I tried all of the various settings recommended here but it still sounded bad. Cleaner patches are ok though. I had a GK-2A (originally from when I bought a VG-8 in like 1995 or so) but got rid of it thinking the Godin would suit my needs. Hopefully the GK-3 will solve my issues...... My favorite thing about the VG-99 is being able to tune down to C# or B without touching the strings!

FWIW - RMC updated the circuitry summer 2011 for Godin XTsa and LGXT/LGX-SA. Latest models sound smoother and less brittle  / fewer anomalies with VG-99/GR-55/GP-10
