Hi All,
this may have been asked before so if someone can just respond the link that would be great!

can i load an MP3 sample into the GR-55?
or what format do i need to transfer it into?

The new Imagine Dragons song "Thunder"  has a synth voice that i would like to imput into the GR-55 but i only have it in mp3 or wav.

I have attached the Mp3 incase anyone would like to make it into a patch... My intent is to cut it just into one word "thunder" then use the guitar notes to change the pitch

Regards

You can play audio files from a USB stick in the GR55, but you can't add samples or new 'voices' to trigger.

So would i still be able to change the note/pitch of the file on the guitar?

The GR-55 can create sounds from its strings as COSM Modeling guitar tones, or it can create synth sounds from its internal dual PCM wave samples - aka like a Rompler

or it can perform as Guitar to MIDI converter and drive external Synths

You need to load your sound file into a midi sampler.
The GR-55 can convert guitar notes to midi, for using in a dedicated sampler to playback your sample sound at the pitch required..
