Hi everybody.

I'm still a noob, but with your kind help, I'm really getting somewhere.

I want to use a small portable device like the iRig Pro or HD for playing on recording my GP-10 on a new 128gb iPad Air with apps like JamUp Pro! Amplitube, GarageBand, etc, but nobody I've spoken to Australia can tell me if it's possible.

Can somebody please recommend a suitable interface? I'd to use something small for informal stuff, i.e. fun, but if I have to pay $200.00 for an iRig Pro (as they cost here) I want to ensure that it will truly enable to utilise the features of the GP-10 to the fullest, including midi.

I would really appreciate all advice. Music equipment is very expensive in Australia.

Regards,
Stephen

Since you seek to use the GP-10 to the fullest on IOS - get a stereo I/O IOS USB Compliant  Interface ( Roland UA-22 Duo Capture EX works consistently)

But you will get vastly more powerful music creation  / performance  experience by skipping the iPad and  using an OSX/WIN Laptop and a USB cable and use your GP-10 for its intended design goal - Guitar Modeler, Amp Modeler, multichannel USB Audio  / MIDI Interface for MS Windows / Apple Mac

I prefer 2011 era Macbook Pro - using the Boss GP-10 USB Audio / MIDI driver for OSX/WIN allows you to record each string separately , Process each string separately, re-guitar, re-amp, trigger VST/AUI SoftSynths - make a complete music production far more effectively than using an iPad
