Hello

I have found that looping mp3 files in eband mode produces a bit a glitch when returning to the start of the loop. This is not happening with the built in songs or if I load  a WAV file. However with WAV files I can't use the artists and album etc tags to organize my backing track loops.

I have tried so far easyrip (both an ancient version on my w98 music pc and the latest on Win7) and Audacity on win7.

The wav files were produced in Logic Audio Windows 5.2 or whatever the last version on windows was and as I said if I load the WAV file directly into the Micro BR 80 it loops fine but the mp3's I rip from that wav have a slight glitch/drop out on the loop which makes them impossible to jam over.

Should I persevere with different Mp3 encoders?

I would like to get this going if at all possible not just for the space saving on the card but the organization of things as well with the mp3 tags.

regards and TIA

Correct - MP3s when looped will be glitchy on BR-80 , regardless of which encoder app was used

- convert to a wav format,

Review the official Roland "E-Band Song Lister app

This software lets you do the following things.
- Rip songs from a music CD to the eBand gears
- Load WAV or MP3 format audio files into the eBand gears
- Save songs from the eBand gears to your computer
- Add or edit song titles
