Hi there, I am new on this forum but I wanted to share this :)

I recently got the GT-100 and I really like it, but I find the speaker/mic emus to be somewhat lacking.
Luckily I have the Kazrog recabinet 4 plugin (see picture)
I just turn off the preamp/poweramp section of the plugin and use the cabinet function and it sounds KILLER.
If you haven't tested it be sure to download the demo.

On another note: I really can't understand people that claim the GT-100 sounds flat and dull.
I'll post some examples in this post both with GT-100 through a Peavey Classic 60/60 valve poweramp going into a 4x4 Peavey cabinet and also going straight into my DAW (Cubase 8.5 pro) using My PRS 7 string and Kazrog recabinet 4.

All the best, Kim :)

Here is the PRS guitar :)

And here are the sound examples :)
For the direct sounds I used the "stack return" setting. This was to get the guitar into the pc without any speaker sims from the GT-100.

Just an idea I came up with today that -might- turn into a full song/instrumental some time in the future.
Superior drummer 2 used for the drums.

I presonally think the sound is killer. VERY reminicent of how a real valve preamp reacts.

All the best, Kim

I almost forgot: the mic used to record the cabinet.
The mighty Peavey PWM 48.
It is kind of a Shure sm-57 but it is phantom powered so it has a much broader sound spectrum.
Very directional and FULL sound ;)

I have two of them that I have used since 1990 or so.
The best mic for micing a cabinet I have tried.
Shame they don't make them anymore.

All the best, Kim
