Hi folks

I had need of a Mandolin with that sort of "Copperhead Road" sound, so had a tinker around for a few days and came up with the attached.

I have also altered the tuning to that of a mandolin (turning off the E and A completely). Hopefully its usable.

I also tried to to the above with twelve string turned on to give it a proper and fuller mandolin sound but it would appear you can't have a 12 string setting with the 'Alt Tunings' turned on - If there is a way around this some one let me know (or lets get Roland to rethink it).

Have a good New Years Eve

One way around it might be to use a PCM sound for the second set of strings.  Mix them quiet, so they aren't obviously a synth.

Another option could be to program an extremely short delay, and send the "wet" output of the delay to the chorus, with just enough modulation to suggest slightly detuned second strings.

Like you thinking.

I will have a play round and see what produces the best effect

I played my little Ovation mandolin for 2 and a half hours in the studio on Tuesday and tore the "blank" out of my hands. I will try this one thanks!
