How does GK3 volume knob works?
Is it a contact ribbon like other volume pots, that can get dirty and needs to clean from time to time.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if the knob can be reconfigured as a linear controller for MIDI purposes? There's times I wish I could dial through settings rather than poking at footswitches.

If (like me) you don't use it much, remember to "exercise" it regularly: work the knob stop-to-stop a few dozen times to beat back the scale, which will reduce scratchiness in the rare occasions it gets used.

You have to provide more info
Your specific GK 13 processor type determines what you can do with all GK-3 controls

If its a GR-55   yes use Gumtowns GR-55 Floorboard Editor to configure what the GK Vol pot can send as MIDI CC#

Roland states the GK-Vol pot is an Alpha P/N#  RV09A-40-15F-B50K

This is a compatible replacement
