AMP SHOW PHILOSOPHY

Since it's inception in 2005, The AMP SHOW's  winning format of private demo rooms has provided the ideal solution to the problem all manufacturers have faced while demonstrating  musical products –oppressive sound regulation in an open hall environment.  It is now possible to evaluate amplifiers, effects, and instruments at real world levels. At the AMP SHOW, it is up to each room to regulate volume as they please, with no limitations imposed by the show or venue staff.

Perhaps the most overlooked aspect of the AMP SHOW'S formula for success, is the price the public pays to enter. A $20.00 fee, ensures exhibitors that the majority of attendees are serious about their time spent at the show and are more likely to have the funds available to indulge prospective equipment purchases. Furthermore, this pre-screening/filtering process, is designed to limit traffic flow to a manageable level, thus insuring each individual can count on quality time with product specialists while gathering valuable information. A certain amount of exclusivity insures a more productive, pleasurable experience for attendee and exhibitor alike.

Hi Elantric. I can't be there, but if you could drop by the Synergy booth and give me a review of the preamp modules I would appreciate it. Do they nail the sounds they are designed to recreate?

I am thinking of bying a Syn 2 and a number of the modules for my studio.

Thanks, Steven.

Actions are louder than words - I just returned from the LA Amp Show and had a good "pow wow" meeting with Jeff Slingluff (Strategic Project Manager for BOSS and Roland Guitar Products) and the whole Roland / Boss US Guitar product team.

As a long time customer of their gear since 1977, I experience major significant positive changes at Roland / Boss for improving the Roland/Boss customer experience. This thread has lots of reads and ears where it counts, I understand Roland / Boss are monitoring this thread

and other online forums and they are responding to customers needs with action = new firmware.
Mr Yoshi Ikegami ( Roland / Boss Guitar Product President) is very hands on and a significant force whose Engineering teams have delivered countless tools for decades which have changed the guitar world.
In the past 2 years He has cultivated and created a great knowledgeable Roland / Boss Guitar Product team.

I also must complement Jeff Slingluff's significant experience and skills: what he brings to the Roland / Boss Guitar product team is key - delivering great products and after the sale support with new firmware updates ( Katana, DD-500, MS-3) with much value added after the sale to existing owners.

I also got confirmation the GK 13 pin interface is NOT dead, and future GK products are in the works

I'm glad to hear that new gear is in the works.
I bought an extra GR-55 just in case.

New stuff doesn't need come out every year. As long as it's good, it'll be worth the wait.
