Interesting post. Is there a way to program some sort of tampura like chord drone (maybe utilizing the 5th or 6th string) while simultaneously playing lead lines on the other strings?

It is possible. Tune the 6th, 5th and 4th strings to the tonic and 5th of the scale or raga you are playing and in the required octaves. You can play on the 1st three strings the melody combined by hitting the lower strings for the tampura effect.

Is it possible to add a harmony note one octave down in the sitar patch and assign it to the second Ctrl switch...?
