I get this message when I click on a factory patch when using Tone Central:
"PLEASE CHANGE GP-10'S DISPLAY TO PLAY MODE"

Anybody know why?

The display is showing the normal patch and patch name screen?
Not open in an edit menu of the GP-10 display?

Not seen that message yet on my GP-10..

I'm in librarian mode.  I click on the patches to the left of the screen (patches that are on the GP-10) and the GP-10 shows the patch but that messages appears.

Never seen that Error message ever.

Be sure all other apps are closed and be sure BTS is the only app connected to GP-10.

And be sure BTS is connected to GP-10, and NOT  "GP-10  DAW CTRL".

All versions of Boss Tone Studio employs 99% the same interface. Recommend you read the most detailed documention for BTS here:

I think I figured it out, The device was set to GP-10 DAW CTRL instead of just the GP-10.  After I switched it, error messages went away.
Thanks again...

I've seen that same error message.

For me it was when I was connected to Tone Central, but I was editing a patch on the GP-10 itself. When I tried to switch patches with Tone Central it gave me that message until I exited out of edit mode on the GP-10.

when I choose a patch to edit in Tone Studio the message 'change to display mode' pops up - but I can't seem to find it in the manual - also the patch chosen on GP-10 does not match the 1 displayed in Tone Studio

I notice that around 66 people have viewed my  post - does this mean they don't know the answer - somebody must surely? (don't call me shirlie - RIP George Kennedy)

                                          thanks
