I want to simultaneously take the stereo audio outputs from a GR-55, a GP-10, an XV3080 + straight through guitar into individual channels in Logic Pro running on an iMac running Yosemite. I'm looking for a minimum of 8 input/outputs that will allow me to adjust the individual channels post playing. I've found various USB/Firewire/Thunderbolt interfaces but ended up confused. Some are very expensive, which I'm assuming is down to the quality/number of the preamps; some are suspiciously cheap. Has anyone else been in this situation and arrived at a satisfactory solution? Are there any makes that I really should avoid? I'm leaning towards going down the Firewire route as the USB is already handling all the midi though a MOTU Express 128.

Thanks for the recommendation. They are £399 in the UK. There's a Mackie Onyx Blackbird for about half that price which makes me wonder why it is so comparatively cheap.
