Its as simple as that! And if you haven't yet bought the app, now is the perfect time.

So why are the Keith McMillen hardware controllers like the SoftStep and the QuNeo such a perfect match for the FLUX:FX app?  Unparalleled expression capabilities, flexibility, portability, customization... the list goes on. The SoftStep2 allows you to match the touch-based editing possibilities of the FLUX:FX app with hands-free performance options, and it is incredibly simple to set up!

What's required to run a SoftStep into an iPad?  I'm assuming CCK at a minimum, and a powered USB hub if you want to use a USB audio interface at the same time?

admin

All correct.

And the SoftStep II uses LEDS ,which fixed the radiated noise issue of its predessor.

Yes. Although with something like the focusrite dock that we use you can just plug the softstep directly into the USB port.

Also softstep2 has improvements in usability with the new buttons and the row at the back being raised.

Likewise the IconnectAudio 4+'s rear USB Host port.

Mixed reports regarding the USB port on Apogee Quadro

My SoftStep 2 arrives Friday - hope to spend time this weekend working on various ways to integrate it into a few of my rigs.

Edit - This version "2" KMI SoftStep2 works great!
