The FC-300 is built like I tank - so buy used

FWIW I got my FC300 as part of a group buy in 2007 for $250

Here is a used one for $200

A discontinued RC-50 is worth about $250 - $300

But I know both are rare in your part of the world (and Im in the camp of "never pay retail" ) - just verify the "warranty" is from a direct Roland Repair Center

well I can buy when I go to Stateside next time, but the warranty and the tax deduction which is about 50 % in the long run which is a lot when the tax on my income is about 50 % and than add 20 % sales tax on top
adds up.
the prices here are also much higher all in all

I would pass on the RC50. I owned one. Its dated (far too little internal memory which is not expandable) and there is a very annoying gap on the first playback after you chop a loop.

FC300 however is a very fine unit.

I can attest to its durability.

Same reason I sold mine.

Add it was like putting a 1/8" scale aircraft carrier at my feet. Would not fit the 4 x 8 ft stages I often play

Yeah, it's nice - but it's huge.  I think I can make it work for me even though I also work smaller stages but......wow, that sucker is big.

If they ever do an RC-400 or 500 or 800 - you might hope it comes with roadies.

that's why I down scaled to a gigadelay DD-20
I have Lexicon Jamman and Electrix Repeater that I'm not using.
and a couple of VG 99 without the FC 300 , I sold the first FC 300 , but I got tempted by the deal.
Thanx to YOu all I'm back on track no deal.
But waiting to try the boss rc 505 , since I have the DD 20 on a stand with the 99 I might fit the 505 there 2.

Anyone tried it yet ?? the 505 ?

Note seen here yet.

Its another one of those devices that "almost got it right".

Not keen on the RC-505 plastic chassis,  - but a DIY  type could add external foot switches - but lots of surgery required.

Might be a good basis for a DIY Mod to fix the issues  - but wait until 2017 when the price drops to $250

I have an old Macbook Pro I'm rededicating to as a Looper - to run Logidy Full Circle Looper

http://www.logidy.com

and Im still learning my TC Helicon VoiceTouch 2 , using its external switch - its a stereo looper that fills many roles.
