It's happened twice in the last couple of days.
Crashes the operating system to the black screen of death. After a reboot it asks me to send the bug report to Apple which I do.
As far as I know I have the latest official version of everything including drivers, apps and operating system updates.

Does anyone know if there is an unreleased beta version of the driver currently under test that I could try using?

Here's the beginning of the crash dump.

But I'm not surprised  - each new macOS release brings high risk for "breaking" USB audio drivers

i stick with OSX Yosemite to remain productive

Elantric,

Having to use my iMac for both Music and standard activities, when an Apple OS becomes too old?
High Sierra will be available tomorrow and sure I'll skip it but I'm still on Mavericks. Temptation to go Sierra as the last upgrade I'll make on this 2013 iMac is great.

Thanks for your suggestions!
