GT-001 chain vs VG99

Just checking if my understanding of the GT-001 manual is right.
So far it looks to me that the divider is actually able to split a single channel in two distinct paths, each one with its own AMP. However It seems that I cannot add FX to the second path.
Compared to VG99 it's not like having two real channels A/B but a path divider that acts like a channel split (Mix, A/B, Dynamics) for the AMP only.

Is this true?

with the GT-001/GT-100 you can place effects in any part of the chain, including the channel split.

However, it's not like the double channel path in VG99, right?
If I use FX1 on channel A, it's gone, it cannot be assigned to channel B, right?

no, not like that, the VG-99 is more like 2 x GT-8 in parallel.
