THX for the link
about 5 € plus delivering for 100ml or nearly 9€ plus delivering  for 200ml.
I 'll think about ordering this (must be a good one) German product because I' ve also had these "wellknown problems" from time to time. If I test/order it I will tell you about how it works... :)

Aloha guys,
One would think that any type of electrical
contact cleaner would work but perhaps not.

It would be nice to get an 'official' word from Roland on this.

All I could find in the manual about maintenance was
only about the GR-55.
Nothing about the cable.

From the manual:

Maintenance
• For everyday cleaning wipe the unit with a soft,
dry cloth or one that has been slightly dampened with water.
To remove stubborn dirt, use a cloth impregnated with a
mild, non-abrasive detergent.
Afterwards, be sure to wipe the unit thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
• Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol or solvents of any kind, to avoid
the possibility of discoloration and/or deformation.

I would not recommend either of these for this application.

WD40 displaces water and may help a little with cleaning so probably won't hurt any of the metal portions of the connector but otherwise it's possible long term effects on the plastic aren't worth the risk.

Nail polish remover will also pose a definite risk for the plastic portions of the connector.
