Thanks to everyone here, I have made great progress with the GR 55 in the month that I have owned it. I am not quite ready to go live with it (need to work on technique for PCM tones) , but I have already used it to add spice to my own backing tracks which I will use at gigs.

Now I am ready to move to the next level of creating patches and I want to switch back and forth between a PCM tone and a Modeling tone on the same patch. To do this I have figured out that you must do something in the master settings to either CTL, EXP, EXPON, or EXPSW. I think I understand CTL, but I could not find good definitions for EXP, EXPON, & EXPSW and what the differences are between the 3 of these parameters.

Does anyone have any insight on this? Is there a post on the forum that describes this (I tried searching but did not really come up with anything).

Thanks for whatever help you can provide

Carl

Thanks for the help. I found a video in the thread you referred me to that explained the basic differences between EXP, EXPON, and EXPSW

The video was made by The Gospel Guitarist and was called "Expression Pedal - EXPSW Set Up"

According to the video EXPON and EXPSW are the same and should really be called EXPON1 and EXPON2. I do note in the owners manual that EXPON and EXPSW can do different things, so they are not "exactly" the same but according to the video both work when the Expression pedal is fully depressed and the light comes on.
