I have a 1996 Godin LGX-SA (LR-BAGGS).  I have been playing with a GR-33 for years and just purchased a GR-55.  When my 3-way switch is set to "guitar only (piezo and magnetic pickups)" I still get PCM1 & PCM2 sounds if their tone volume control is not all the way off.  If I set the switch to "mix" or "synth only" I do not get any piezo or magnetic sound as expected.

I have GK VOL and EXP VOL set to PATCH SETTING in the SYSTEM setup.  I also have GUITAR OUT set to OFF because I am only using the single L/MONO output.  In the MASTER setup for my patches I have PCM1 & PCM2 TONE VOL set to EXP and COSM set to GK VOL.

Is this normal for the Godin?  I have read numerous posts about setting up the 3-way switch for the GK pickup and assume that the 3 way switch on the Godin should work the same way.  In the "guitar only" position should I only hear guitar?

The older Godins with LR Baggs pickups employ a few alternate switching techniques which may deviate from the current GK-3 specification.

MIDI classics web store even sells an RMC upgrade board for the older godins with LR Baggs electronics.

But try all steps in the GR-55 Three way switch thread first.
