Hi mates,

I bought my gr-55 a couple months ago and let me tell you that my mind is blowing away everyday someplace else... I have not even tried midi, guitar out only, make new patches, ... i feel like I have a big discussion for the next years with this gear :)
It all started with a friend of mine buying a looper, the rc-300.

Well, now I want to try the loopers as well and looking into the market i really loved the new rc-505. it's not guitar players friendly but in my oppinion it's better performer tool than the rc-300.

My question is: Can I control the first loop start/rec with the CTL pedal of the GR-55?

I mean from what i've read in the forum (which is the best, thank you all the members) I could use an assign from GR-55 patch using CTL pedal to send a CC# message to the RC-505. By pressing the CTL pedal the the start and the end of the first loop would be defined.

This would avoid buying a FS-5U pedal.
Does anyone uses the GR-55 with the RC_505?

i would think you could do that BUT, I think you would be very limited to the control of functions using the GR55 to control it as it appears to be more geared to hand control rather than foot control. The RC300, RC50, or Boomerang III, would all be better choices for full feature use and foot control, and probably cheaper. Check out the looper section of the forum for more info on these units. These 3 units all have pros and cons depending on what you want to do with them but are better for hand free use, a must for guitar use. Somewhere in the looper forum here is a video of Per Haar using the RC300 and GR55 together.

Try these...

Thanks!

I agree with you (RC-300 is more guitar appropriate) but from what I've seen of rc-505 I like it very much... The input FX and track FX are great tools, and 5 channels... :)
I was wondering that if I can control the first loop than the following loops won't need on-time trigger.
