Hello Everyone,

Just got a koa T5. I have searched the forum, but have not seen any threads regarding the gk3 pickup and the t5. Has anybody paired these two together? I ran across some beautiful photos of a t5 internal midi pickup system installed by well-known Gary Brawer. I will post these soon. Has anybody on this forum put either an internal gk, or RMC system in their T5. Love to see some pics if possible. And any advice.

Thanks

I have a T5 clone, the crafter TMVS.

An internal install will not be easy, as the area around the bridge is not accessible from the back.

Thanks for the reply SixEight.

That's a nice looking Crafter. Did you use 3m mounting tape for the gk install or is it screwed to the top?
How does it compare to the t5 in sound and cost? I've never heard of them before.

Thanks

The Crafter is way cheaper. Around 500 euros in the Netherlands.

I have had to be a little creative with mounting the GK. I stuck some flexible pieces of plastic to the arched top of the guitar. In the flexible pieces I put some screws. I use springs to push the gk up and have a nut on top. A tiny drop of glue keeps the nut from moving.
