Hey guys, I'm thinking of simplifying my carrying bag situation and have an important question...

Will the Roland gig bag fit the FC 300 and VG 99 in it without removing the stand mount?

If I had to take the 4 screws off and remove the mount it would completely defeat the purpose.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry to say the answer is no. If you have the stand you could do like I do and use two bags, one carries the VG and stand and one carries the FC-300, other pedals, other switches, wires and IEM stuff.

Hey Brent, thanks for the quick answer!

Time to rethink the situation...

You are welcome! Wouldn't it be great if they would make a bag that everything fits in it! I would not have had to be much bigger.

Actually the VG-99 Bag does hold the FC-300 + the VG-99 with the PDS-10 rectangular stand mount permanently attached to the underside of the VG-99 using the 4 mounting screws.

Yes, if the FC-300 is inside the CBVG9 Bag, the rest of the PDS-10 stand must be carried separately.

I guess you could squeeze it in there, I just did not want the FC-300 to be damaged (scratched or dented) by the post that stick into the FC-300 area when left on. It does fit in the case nicely with the stand because the mounting post goes over the stand. I guess they thought you would not use the FC-300 if you had the stand right next to you.

I'll post a pic of the inside of my bag with the FC-300 and my VG-99 with Mount attached.

Until then, here's the factory Roland pic from the CBV9 Bag manual.

During transport, to protect the FC-300,  you can install a "Crutch Tip"  over the round protruding portion of the PDS-10 stand mount.- obtain from the local drug store.

Then remove the Crutch Tip at the gig, to mount the VG-99 to the PDS-10 stand in 15 seconds.

Well, time to re think yet again!

Thank you guys for the help.  I'm always looking to transport things easier, and I don't use the stand...  I'm the guy who drills holes in the speaker cabs for the stand mount.

I could potentially carry one less bag if this works for me.  The picture with the vg99 and fc300 in the bag with the mount attached would be wonderful!

Elantric, the crutch tip idea is genius! Thankyou! This will allow me to store my PDS stand in the new guitar case I am having made for me, and carry my FC-300 with the VG-99 in the Roland carry bag.

Great! I do have a few small follow up questions:
Has bag stretched and been damaged over the time you've been gigging with it?
Also, have you flown with the bag and gear inside it?

Thanks a lot.

Smash

I just got a CB VG9 and it has two extra pads one thick squab which acts as packing for the FC300, and one thing pad that goes between the vg99 mount and the FC300 to protect it
