Is there any info on making your own tip/ring sleeve power supply for powering the JTV 59 through your guitar cable?

Find the Line-6 XPS floor switch /Power Supply

These were included with original Variax and now on the Used market $30-$75 on EBay

But use a TRS Cable!!

I own three.

Is there any option for powering the variax through the HD500X or would I need to run the Variax through this first?

with HD500X  - you dont need an external Variax VDI power supply or batteries

HD500, HD500X, XT Live, POD Pro racks with VDI interface will power the variax and provide an AES/EBU digital audio connection to the guitar - just be sure to use Ethercon VDI cable  - not a cheap network RJ-45 CAT-5 cable

Yes - this cable allows direct connection with HD500X  - and supplies power to the Variax

Hi i have This line6 variax300 and my question is will the xps-AB box do with the variax 300 with this power supply I use to use with xps mini
power supply line6 AC adaptor
Model sy-32-0003
Input 230v~50hz
Output 9v~2000mA 18vA
It has the same specifications as px2 power supply who is sold with xps-AB box... By my opinion it should as long it has the same specifications

Elantric

Yes - the Line-6 XPS A/B Box works with all Variax's  ( 300/500/600/700, and all JTV's and 2015 Variax Standard)

Use a 1/4" TRS cable to the Variax

I modded a regular behringer AB switch with a simple voltage regulation circuit on the A input. The ring carries 7 volts regulated power taken from the main power supply of the stomp box. This drives the variax with the standard waves 'stereo' jack lead.

I just got a used one but I get a loud pop when I switch between the Mixer and the Amp.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Could you share a schematic?
