If you fit big enough wheels, you can push it to the gig...     ;D
Read slower!!!   ....I'm typing as fast as I can...

My revised VG-99 setup with a Motu 8M, Mac mini 2011 server with 16GB ram and dual 500 GB SSD, iConnectMIDI4+ and an ART HeadAMP4Pro. The VG-99 is mounted on a sliding rack shelf.
To V or not to V: That is the question.

Thats a lot of 5 pin MIDI I/O  - what are you using the 5 pin MIDI for?

Mainly for remote control of my VG-99 from my iPad and system wide tap tempo from my Molten Voltage TEMPODE. I also use it when connected to my Yamaha 01V96 for remote control when not booting my mac.

My case will hold VG99 + GR30 + VG8 + space at the bottom for floor board pedals & GKPX-14 switch
It 'should look similar to a JC120 (with wheels!) when complete
So live it's just this box + amp + guitar and near zero setup time

Will post the finished thing

Headless68

Just about done - have to finish the floor board yet when I decide which midi pedal (probably Icon G-Board if it works with itrack dock)

Now it's as simple as lid and front off - 1xStereo out to amp - pull out the floor board - plug the already connected GK cable to my guitar & power up - 30 seconds set up time :-)

Icon G-board is on its way - a good second user one came up at the right price, so I hope it does work with the iTrack Dock :-)
...And I can finish the pedal board now, two more CTL switches for the 'V's and the G-board will be midi control for the looper on the ipad

I'm looking to build one of these asap

My luthier sent me a couple of photos as he was working on installing the GK-3 pickup (in reverse position) on my Japanese 69' reissue Mustang.

I'm expecting a call tomorrow, or after tomorrow when he's done soldering, I'll haul the VG-99 over there to test in on spot to see whether everything is soldered correctly.
Fingers crossed!

Congratulations!
Good to see Fender still uses real wood in the Mustang Body ( not a speck of  Plywood!)

I'd love to hear an example of you using this system live.  I aspire to such madness!

Yep.  If I must pick ONE device, it's my '55.

Here is a shot of the pedal board I am working on. I will be doing some final wiring to get it up and running. there are a few add-ons that are still in the works concerning the midi but everything else is covered.

was able to reduce the floor space a bit, and now the complete rig (an older Carr "the Vincent" for guitar only and an epifani UL 502 and a custom 1x12" cab for the SY-300):
