PATCH NAME: Classicoid

Version: 0.1a

Category: Other

Style: Pseudo-classical

Description:

A bit like a cheap electric harpsichord, using a 12-string acoustic with octaves set on the top two strings (1&2) and a channel-B wave synth on square to add a bit of bass sonority. This is gradually rolled off via the string level settings on the higher strings. I've tried to use EQ to stop these sounds muddying each other up too much in the frequencies around the middle (say the open G string). Since I'm still in the process of adjusting my GK setup, some adjustment of levels might be necessary.

FileType: mid

Any feedback at all would be embarassingly welcome!

Good job ! I like it very much too.

Kostas, dhaiphi - thanks for that, good to know since I'm just starting with this whole vg thing. (And, thanks for that Oud patch, Kostas! :) )

Is a reasonably good impersonation of a harpsichord, at that. The only thing I'd say is the low notes don't "snap" quite enough, if you catch my meaning.

feloniouspunk

Cool sounding patch.  Thanks for sharing.
