The MIDX PC Assistant Software is unfortunately a Windows only software.
Q: Is there anyone out there that has it up on running on a Mac with working MIDI to the MIDX?
If so, what tools are you using?
But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!

Boot camp is my first suggestion as it's practically handing the user a fully fledged Windows machine.
To V or not to V: That is the question.

Been trying to open the PC assistant this morning with WineBootler and Wine on my Imac
Managed to
But the MIDX20 is not recognized with a Cakawalk UM-1G midi interface. "ERROR-Could Not Talk to The MIDX20. Please check the connection".
I wanted control 1 & 2 on the MIDX20 to become control 3 & 4 to be used with a BOSS FS6
Is there an other way or it has to be changed only with the PC assistant ?
Thanx in advance !

The manual explains how you run the one-button Wizard to setup MODE and CC# for CTRL1 & CTRL2.
Tedious and tricky, but possible.

May have  to buy a MAC to wite a Mac version, but wont happen just like that. Maybe a different USB-MIDI cable will work for you.
Did some testing on various interfaces (for Windows PC) in this thread:

VM-Ware with a mac Sierra image file on your windows box.
+ mac X-code IDE & developer tools.

Rt-Midi C++ library for multi platform midi API

(same code for win/mac/Linux).
Free "GR-55 FloorBoard" editor software from https://sourceforge.net/projects/grfloorboard/

I use a Mac I have created a wine skin for the assistant program which seems to work except some of the drop down boxes need to be scrolled to see all the options. MIDI communications works fine. I have used for it  a few MIDI/Audio Windows apps. I also tested it using VirtualBox Windows 10. The GUI is not quite perfect but if one is  aware the dropdown boxes (not all) need to be scrolled then you are good to go.

If there were a Mac-friendly editor for it, I would have already bought one of these. I'd love to be able to control my amp from my existing MIDI controllers (I've got the Mustang amp your device supports).
