Hi there,  noob here

Just got the gt 001 and having a few problems connecting it to the Windows 10 pc I'm using.  Everywhere says the driver will automatically download when you first connect it,  but this just doesn't happen. The unit powers up and outputs sound through the headphones,  but other than that the computer does nothing. Can't find the actual driver online anywhere,  just info....  That tells me it'll download automatically!

Help! And thanks in advance!

Managed to solve the problem. Dug around in device manager and found it.  Note to self.....  Actually read a readme file 😬

PLEASE READ THE "README.html" file that is included with the USB driver download
( 90% of ALL problems with Roland/Boss computer connectivity via USB occurs from folks who disregard following the supplied "README instructions contained inside the zip / rar/ tgz files .

Please note that as of March 2017, there have been GT-001 firmware updates, USB driver updates and Tone Studio updates.

All of these need to be updated and applied in this specific order

1.) GT-001 firmware update,
2.) USB driver update,
3. Latest Tone Studio update

or things won't connect/work with USB midi/Audio.
