Roland Duo Capture Mk2 arrived today
http://www.roland.com/products/duo-capture_mk2/

Test 1 - set the dip switch to tablet and plugged in with supplied USB cable into CCK - powered up fine (power from Ipad) and worked great straight away - stereo in to Duo then phones stereo out into the stereo in on the JC-120 with Bias FX running & no faffing around !

Test 2  - plugged the duo direct into powered hub (Plugable USB 2.0) & plugged CCK via another (24/2C rated) USB cable into Hub - every thing worked first time !

Test 3 - VG-99 5 pin midi out (via 5 pin to usb class compliant converter cable - cheap on fleaBay) into the powered hub - guitar to midi switched on on the VG99 - audiobus set with mic symbol on (for the stereo audio from VG-99 in ) - Sunrizer soft synth input - output to Loopy - ALL GOOD, I have stereo audio in, guitar processing on the ipad and guitar to midi all working and looping at the same time - I cant believe it all works with no fiddling !

Don't have time to test recording yet but will report back before I add it to the 'working audio interfaces list'
Feels good quality too - the input and output sliders have a decent feel to them and it stays put with rubber feet - happy with my £30 outlay so far

I located a gently used version of the Roland Duo Capture MK2' "big brother"  - the Roland UA-22 Roland Duo Capture EX
https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=13225.msg96647#msg96647

Its often found for $140-$165 in the used channel,

its a powerful Ipad Interface - I can use regular 5 pin DIN MIDI  cables to connect my MIDI gear, and have two phantom powered XRL inputs, and TRS balanced Outputs

Did you really buy it that cheap? Where did you get that deal?

Its typical used price for UA11 MK2

here is one for $63USD

Just avoid the old  UA-11 Roland Duo Capture Mark 1 model - does not play well with iPad

Yep £30 in as new still boxed - new only £55 so if you don't need XLR and 5 pin midi these look like a real bargain
Hope the recording is as good
