Bought that amp a couple of years before my GR-55. It is a small amp but weighs a ton. (hey, I'm 63. What doesn't weigh a ton.  :D ) I plug my GR-55 into the preamp side and it sounds pretty good but I'm tired of lugging the thing around.

Anyway, I am wanting to replace it with a lighter amp that is geared more to my gr55.
I have read through most of the posts here and have come up with a few that I think might do better than my Fender.
They are (and in no particular order) Yamaha stagepas 400i, ZT Lunchbox, Carvin S400D Stagemate, Carvin LS1502, Roland KC-60, Cube 80xl, Traynor K4.

Anybody care to weigh in on which one of these might be the better amp to use in worship service at a church of about 250 folks. We play a lot of Rend Collective, Chris Thomlin, Newsboys and 3rd Day.

Atomic powered  CLR NEO, great sound pretty expensive.  Alesis Alpha 112a , reported very good sound ( used by Elantric here) and way less expensive.

.....YES!!!!   Read up on it (or them, so you can stereo the congregation!)   ;D

Thanks much for the input.
You're right CLR NEO is a bit on the pricey side. The Alesis sounds like it might be a pretty good replacement and the price is hard to beat.

good luck with the Alesis cabs, they certainly sound like a great deal, that's sounds good. I've been using my CLR for almost 2 yrs and think I would be hard pressed to go back

Has anyone had any experience playing the GR55 through the ZT Lunchbox?

Sure  -I own two "original" ZT Lunchbox - only recommend it for low volume gigs or rehearsing  - but forget using ZT Lunchbox  for low frequency Synth voices

The best "grab & Go amp for ANY situation where you wish to amplify a DSP Amp Modeling Box ( VG-99, GR-55, GP-10, Line-6 Firehawk, Vox Tonelab)  are the

2010-2012 Cube 80XL ( single 12" - but very smooth sound

Can you still get the Cube 80XL?  Shows as "discontinued" on Roland site.

Do you think the Street EX would have enough power in a "church" environment?
There are 2 other guitars (which run through the church PA, drums (which do the same), piano, keyboard and bass.

Be sure it's the Cube Street EX , and if you are mostly playing Guitar type type tones it gets loud enough. It also has Stereo Line Outputs on rear for connection to PA.

But the Cube 80XL will go much louder and allow Synths

If you are using more Synth /Piano tones- skip the Cubes and get a pair of Alesis Alpha 112A ($199 eBay) or the similar less powerful  Alto TS112A

Sweet.  Thanks Elantric.  You (and everyone else) have been a great help.
