Well, I am not a DYI guy but I am improving..
I was able to solder the a new 9V connector on the board of a broken CH-1. However at the same time a wire in the switch area disconnected and I do not know where to solder it as I didn't take a picture of it. I can't read schematics (still learning) so the question is easy. If you look at the picture you will notice that the yellow wire that is soldered to the input jack female casing has a friend (black) that is not connected to anything. Before my intervention the CH-1 worked happily with 9V power (Ac/DC). Now it does not so I guess it's something with the switch and the input jack.  Now I have two options : Solder to the input jack below where other black wires converge or solder to the switch closer where the red wire from 9V battery is. What do you suggest?

Best Regards
Pasha

Thanks. I was able to attach the cable to the right spot but unfortunately another one is now detached.
This one is very difficult to understand where it came from. I'll have to ask for help to a friend that builds tube guitar amps.
It's very difficult to intervene on old stuff it seems all cables are due to break or slip off the circuit board anytime..
At least this time the cable slipped off the circuit board intact. It's a matter of understanding where was housed. ::)

... And in the end my friend Marcello was able to fix it!
We got the schema from you, thanks!!! And in 15 minutes it was fixed.
My friend builds tube amps so he knows what to do. I wanted to DIY.. but while fixing one thing I broke another  ::). I want to teach me some of this stuff. I wonder how when you guys look at a circuit with all those symbols you get a meaning out of it...

Thanks again for help (I could not imagine there's a library of Service Manuals not being a DIY person)

All the Best
Pasha

Elantric has posted many links. Look for schematics on this page:

Thanks! Actually I am playing with electronics since March. I got myself an Arduino and started building and coding. Now I am good enough in building stupid easy projects with Breadboards. However, it's just like you can speak a language (basic words) but cannot read it or write it. Well that's me with electronics. I measure temp/humidity/light/gas , use LEDs but still I have to understand capacitors (why and when they're used) and Transistors, Voltage dividers...Then it'll be the time for IC. A long path, little by little. One day maybe I'll be able to read and understand a circuit, even more, to write it down.
Soldering... (ouch) I was able to substitute my TBX tone on my Fender Strat with a new one some year and an half ago but doing this with micro components and PCB ...and inside a Chorus... well it's too early.

It's an amazing journey for me and I'm having fun. ;D
So far no explosions... disasters and smoke so it seems I got it right...

;D ;D ;D
