I have noticed that with the same settings, GP10 on long notes exhibits more breakups than GT-1 programmed in the same way.
A very simple chain made of Boss Compressor, T-AMP Lead, EQ,Delay Reverb Noise Gate.
In particular Noise Gate is the one causing the breakups when sound fades. If I put NS OFF breakups go away and I can enjoy some noise.
Just to check if anybody else found this behavior?

I've noticed using a GKPX-14 13 pin splitter that there is a noticeable difference between the VG-99, the GR-55 and the GP-10 as far as response and overall sound go, even with the same patch on all 3.

You could try tweaking the 'threshold and release' parameters on the GP-10 in Tone Studio.

My understanding is the gate on the GP-10 is responsible for that.  A recent shimmer patch here illustrated the weird release of the gate on the GP-10 that almost sounded like an effect if you used it right.  Not sure that's something that would ever be fixed given my past experience on my VG-99 and the lack of software updates.

Thanks I remember that patch. I had to tweak the NS a little to avoid jittery in the low end of the sustain curve.
So far the GT-1 it's like butter in the low end of the sustain curve. Less harsh than GP10. Thanks to you and all others to point out the differences.

I have a nickname for the GP-10, the CB-10 or Cyrano de Bergerac 10. It has many talents, but does have some glaring imperfections. Whether one can look past those imperfections is the question. After using some of the VG-99 dual alt-tune acoustic harmony patches and ASB's ambient patches (thank you ASB!) I find it harder and harder to get back to the CB-10.

CB is brilliant I like it! ;D
