The Feat are so young there! Such an amazing ensemble. Will have to check it out tonight, at work now.

Saw them last with Lowell at the Royal Oak Music Theater ... well, it was the year of or before Lowell's passing. Fun, fantastic music and personalities.

Saw them again about ten years back, same venue. So great to see them, but Lowell is so very missed.

I own a Parlour guitar which was used by Craig Fuller from Little Feat. I'm im South Australia and I mentioned to a friend in El Paso that I wanted a parlour model. One day, a Larrivee Koa model turned up at my doorstep. It was a "friend-of-a-friend" thing. I don't know if he owned it or just used to play it, but it arrived here, on the other side of the world, free of charge, with a cd and a booklet of poems written by a guy called Stephen Smith. I verified it it with Craig Fuller via Facebook, or a guy pretending to be him! Whatever the story, it was a generous gift from a guy whom I hardly know.

Does anybody think that a parlour guitar would make a better acoustic GP-10 guitar from others, or does it not matter? I believe that Larry Carlton used a parlour guitar with a midi pickup in the 80s.

Regards,
Stephen

I watched that Parlour guitar being built during my time at Valley Arts 1979-1986

Its a poor choice if you seek VGuitar DSP Alt tunings - at the time Larry was using a GM-70 driving DX7 and Jupiter 8  -  goal was to open new doors  - his Acoustic Album won a Grammy

But Larry can make any guitar sing

Larry's interest in MIDI Guitar was to compete with Lee Ritenoir who was already pretty deep with MIDI , and have a shot at composing TV/ Film scores  - which is lucrative, as Larry composed the themes to a few TV shows using MIDI guitar ( Who's the Boss)

I set up his studio for SMPTE Time code video chase lock back in the 80's
