Has anyone uncovered this issue?

My piezios are working because I get the modelled sound out of them fine, my pcm sounds come out but I have to play incredibly hard to get any sound, I've turned all the sensitivity up and all possible gains and velocitys etc..

anyone else had this issue? Using a graphtech ghost system?

Try a factory reset
Factory Reset (Initialize)
Knowledge Base ID: 105348
Product: GR-55

Use the following procedure to clear the GR-55's internal memory and reload its factory settings.

Caution: All User information is lost during a Factory Reset. Be sure to first back up anything you wish to keep before proceeding.

1. Press EDIT.

2. Press the right-hand PAGE button to select the SYSTEM tab.

3. Cursor to "BACKUP/INIT," and then press ENTER.

4. Cursor to "FACTORY RESET," and then press ENTER.

5. Cursor to "OK," and then press ENTER—"FACTORY RESET..." appears in the display.

6. When "PLEASE RESTART" appears, turn the GR-55's power off and back on.

Tried that yesterday too,

Whats more strange is it all works perfect out into a GR30.

Strange indeed..

Any other ideas?

Thanks again

My first recommendation is to clean the cables & socket on the GR-55 using DeoxIt or similar.  Also try reversing the cable.  Remove & re-insert the cable in the socket 10x.

My second recommendation would be to audit all global control assigns carefully.

My third recommendation would be to rebuild the GK setup from scratch.

Any difference using headphones?

If you monitor the midi output of the GR-55, what are the note velocities?

All patches?   Factory presets?    Custom patches?

Do you have a different GK device/guitar to try?

Do you have a different cable to try?

Address the process rather than the outcome.  Then, the outcome becomes more likely.   - Fripp
