Hi
i've just bought a godin multiac natural steel, very good sounding with gr55, but it is very hard to play for me, does anyone think the same? action is very high, how to set up it? i've tried to install 0.11 instead of 0.12 but then i had a lot of issues, a lot of strings buzzing. so after truss setting now buzzing is gone away but guitar is also more difficult to play.
any suggestion?

Do you mean the Multiac Sprectrum Steel (http://www.godinguitars.com/godinmultspectrump.htm)?

I play the Spectrum Steel for my duo, acoustic gigs. I have to adjust the truss rod seasonally and, thinking back now, I did add a business card thickness (or two) to the neck socket to raise the neck slightly. I find the thickness and width of the neck easy on my hands for a whole night of playing.

I also played a bit with the strings (.011's and .012's) and went back to the recommended Light Jazz set of .012's.

If you don't feel confident in making adjustments you should definitely take it to a luthier to get it better to your liking.

I love the guitar with the GR-55. Adding strings or pads behind the acoustic for songs like Nights In White Satin, Rocket Man,  Turn The Page (among others). I was just listening to a recording I made from the mixer of Walking In Memphis where I used only a piano patch (my playing was a little sketchy, but it still came off okay...I have a great lead singer).

thanks for the suggestions, yes i'll take the guitar to an other luthier cos it is too difficult for me that action. one luthier yesterday told me that he can't do anything cos due to the way the guitar is built, but i'll try with an other luthier.
i love this guitar and the sound it makes with gr55, adding pads or strings to acoustic sounds.

Unless it's an older model, that I'm not familiar with, the only Multiac Steel String with 13 pin is the Spectrum. It is absolutely possible to adjust the guitar to your preference.

Good luck with it.

I see some differences in the two models (your Steel SA and my Spectrum SA).

On the Steel it looks like the truss rod adjustment is at the guitar body end of the neck. On the Spectrum it's up at the tuner end of the neck.

I found one picture of the back of the Steel and it looks like the neck attaches in the same way that the Spectrum neck is attached (four bolts).

Good idea to check with another luthier.

That's an older model that's been out of their catalog since at least 2012, but it does have an adjustable truss rod, and it can be adjusted much like some of the older Fenders and Danelectros, which also have the adjustment at the body instead of the headstock.

There are a few Steel String Godins that resemble the Multiac. I have a 2014 Godin A10

Many Godins have Bolt on necks that can be adjusted just like a typical bolt on neck Fender. Dramatically change the action by inserting a neck shim.
If your luthier is not capable of shimming the neck on a Fender or Godin, have him search YouTube to learn how, or change Luthiers.
