That should work just go to setting in gp10 and set p-up to reverse setting

It worked well. As soon as I hit reverse I got more signal. The individual sensitivity controls are also critical I've found. As yet I haven't permanently set the pickup in place but final heights and clearances are just about signed off. Had a play last night and there are some cool and some cheesy sounds in the GP10. I'm looking forward to getting deeper into it.

It looks fantastic... what a shame that is so far and expensive :(

Ovation R869-4 Custom Legend (Roland Ready guitar)

I told myself I was done buying roundbacks for a while, but this one's got me excited. You just don't find them often. Actually, it's the first one I've seen for sale.

Aside from the synth interface, it's got some of the best action I've ever had on an Ovation. I don't know if this thing was played much as I can't even find a pick mark on it. It's also sporting my favorite preamp, the Optima. All this in a very comfortable SSB, and sounds better than my mid bowl 1771LX did if you ask me.

Been having lots of fun with this plugged into the Roland Synth. I have the flute and singing parts down for Breaking the Girl (sounds awesome with the band), and was working on the sax part for Maneater last night... yeah lots of fun.

And some pics...

Many prefer that type GK-3 PU install

If its a recent GK13 processor  - Just set set the GK setting called "Pickup Direction" to the  "Reverse" setting

What is this software please?

It's the "GK SETTINGS" setup in Boss Tone Studio for GP-10

In the GK setting look for GK  "Pickup Direction" and they have option for  "Reverse" setting

Its due to SMF forum  -If you quote a prior post with pictures,  pics  will  never re=appear within a  "Quoted" text

Instead, if you want to re-post a pic you see here  .   right click on the image.   - copy the pic URL

http://www.damon67.com/_Media/dscn0026_med.jpeg

and insert the typical IMG html command within brackets

like this

[ I M G ]http://www.damon67.com/_Media/dscn0026_med.jpeg[/ I M G ]

But what is that a picture of please.
Where did the poster capture that picture from of the GK settings?

Is it a piece of software like GR-55 Librarian or Floorboard?

I thought I asked a very simple question :)

And I've posted a few pics on here you've just misunderstood my question.

QuoteOne thing that my particular guitar is going to cause is that the pickup lead is going to have to emerge from under the high E. I'm not sure if that is going to be a problem

Post a link of what you are talking about ?

I don't know how much simpler I can make this question :)

In this post - https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=19.msg100931#msg100931 there is a picture (yes that one above).

That picture looks like a piece of software for editing a GR-55 and other units.

What is that software called because I would like to edit those settings with my PC because I can't do it with GR-55 Floorboard software (or can I)?

Or is it part of another Synth?

"Boss Tone Studio for GP-10 " only works Boss GP-10

If you have the older GR-55, must use Gumtown's  GR-55 Floor board Editor

I can confirm, There will never be a "Boss Tone Studio for GR-55"

Found it thank you.
I couldn't find it yesterday.
I blame my age, I am nearly 60 :)

You might as well delete all these posts since they've added nothing to the discussion.

Any of us who scours the inter webs has most likely realized the most unique GK equipped guitars will be found in Japan. Now, I'm not talking about inexpensive guitars however. Along with GK installs, sustainers systems are almost always an option with the combo of both being installed on the cream of the crop. Ikebe-Gakki is my favorite place to shop with Ishibashi coming in a close second. High end Ibanez ala Steve Vai Jem Signature are the most common. The Cities Rosewood regulations that went into effect 2017 is finally certified for both of these retailers so it shouldn't be an issue any longer.

My interest in guitarists using guitar synths led me to Akira  Wada and his Signature model guitars by Saijo.

http://www.saijo.info
These are very high end products, made by top luthiers affiliated with Fernandes Guitars.

To top it off, Saijo utilises a very unique "push Spring" tremolo system that is nearly unknown outside Japan.

Saijo uses this with normal 6 screw type, and Wilkinson type trems, while Akira's Floyd has a further development of being directly connected to the sustain block.

Incredible tools for us modern guitarists.

The Moog Guitar used a similar  "push Spring" tremolo system  design ( no room for typical Strat type springs)
