Hello,

I have a Freeway SA that seems to have a wire disconnected that is dropping the 13 pin input from the signal.

It appears there is a black wire that originates near the 13 pin input and terminates in the back chamber with the springs.  The wire near the strings looks like it has never been attached to anything, it is clean with about 1/4 inch of wire exposed.  The end near the input has nearly no wire showing but I can't see where it might have been attached.

Is there anyplace I can actually see what is supposed to be wired where so I can fix this and get the synth back in working order?

Thanks,

Kevin

Start by cleaning the Gk 13 pin cable

The Ghost install docs are here:

For for lowest noise tie/solder your strings ground connection  (On the rear Tremolo spring claw ) to a Ground connection on the MIDI Expander board below.

Thanks,

I was looking at all that stuff last night and couldn't quite make sense of it.  My guitar does not have a ribbon system, there are a host of individually soldered cables going to the end of the board.  And slightly above that there are another set of cables that say things like Gnd, Mag, Up, etc.

I already have a ground soldered to the trem and I have no idea what this loose cable it (as I said, it looks pristine on one end).

Take pics and post them

But these issues are often best handled by your Godin Dealer under warranty

I'll try to get some pictures up tonight.  I'm afraid the guitar is long since out of warranty since I bought it used at least seven years ago.

Thanks,

Kevin

I've always had good luck contacting Godin directly. You can also try taking it to an authorized Godin Service Center.

Good luck.

So I did contact Godin and they were very helpful in sending me this diagram.  Perhaps this will help anyone else in a similar position in the future.
