What is the difference between synth pedal like gr55, and cosm pedal gt100
What is difference between use of both pedals????
Which is the best for live n studio recording ?????????????????????????????????????????????

One big difference,  There is no 1/4" Guitar Input Jack on the GR-55  -    you need a 13 pin guitar with Hex PU or GK-3 PU mounted on your guitar to use the GR-55

Read more details on 13 pin systems here

One is blue and the other black?  ;D
The GR-55 is primarily a polyphonic PCM synthesizer (x two) and instrument modelling (HRM), with a few effects and amp tone shaping thrown in.

The GT-100 is a dedicated multi effects, with much more effects than the GR-55, with fully routable effects chain, dual amp modelling, and only uses a regular 6mm guitar jack, where the Gr-55 requires a GK pickup and 13 pin cable.
although the GT-100 has two 'synth' effects, these are mono and far inferior to the type the GR-55 have.

The Gr-55 costs about 50% more than the GT-100, the internal processor is about the same horsepower in each unit.

What guitar should be used with Gt100  ???
Your regular electric with a 6.5mm (1/4") jack guitar cable.
Also works with other input sources, bass, violin, vocals, electric banjo.

FW2.03 is the final firmware for this product. Remember this is Roland /Boss -not Fractal /Line -6

What this means, that this unit is complete for every thing supposed for electric guitar....?
"Remember this is Roland /Boss" they never want to update it

You have to understand the Japanese way of thinking, the product is released in a state of perfection, "Kanpeki" 完璧
and updates are only necessary for correcting an unforeseen imperfection.

That said the GT-100 is a complete guitar amp/cabinet/ modelling and a full range of effects.

A bit off topic, but I would like to know if the fxfloorboard software is compatible with v2.03 of the GT-00. I bought the GT-100 about 10 days ago, installed all the Boss software on my Windows PC, but didn't install the fxfloorboard cause I thought it was not compatible with v2.03, or too complicated to get it working on v2.03. Does anyone know? If it is compatible, does one has to do complicated things to get it working? I remember I read something about installing it , which made me disqualify the floorboard, cause it seemed too complicated to get it working. But I might be too fast in my conclusions :)

In short: is there an easy way to get the FxFloorBoard software working on a Windows PC, given that I have a GT-100 with V2.03?

gumtown

Yes it is compatible with firmware 2.03,
and it is easy to get running,
just install it and it runs,
the only thing you need to set is the midi input/output.

From the Tools > preferences >midi/USB menu,
select "GT-100" as the device and it's all good to go.
Press the "connect" button in the editor and it will jump into life.

It is not harder to install than Boss Tone Studio or any other software, and is easier to use than Tone Studio.

Hey gumtown, Thanks for your reply a lot! I appreciate the short manual you wrote to install it! This is indeed not difficult to get it running. I will try it as soon as I have the time for it. Thanks again :)

But there is no Bass amp sim

Well first off it's designed as a "guitar" multi-effects processor, so I think Roland is well within it's rights to consider the GT-100 complete without the inclusion of a bass amp sim.  Second, if you are going to play a bass guitar through it, I think there are a number of workarounds.  Bypass the amp sims altogether (just engage an eq effect) or use the full range amp model.  Then you can engage the rest of the effects chain as needed.
