Just wondering about something w.r.t. pickup-panning (before I jump for/skip buying one of these machines):

Is it possible to have two pickups, one panned Left & the other Right?

I've been reading the manual and see many possibilities, but if I'm not mistaken the pickups are getting summed ('so mono') before any panning.

Hope I oversee something  ???

Thanks!

Correct - COSM Pickups get summed to mono on every patch on the old VG-8.

You will need a VG-99 to do COSM Guitar Modeling in Stereo.

Thanks for the quick reply!

OK, 'just' mono-blend of pickups, that's a pity, ...

I figure it's still impossible when accepting just guitar-modelling, so no additional amp-modelling, correct ?

In other words, Rick-pickups are possible to select, but Roland skipped the possibility of Rick-O-Sound ?!  :o

Rick-o-sound Stereo Or Gibson ES-355 Stereo (both these run Neck PU "Left Channel" and Bridge PU on "Right Channel".

Correct VG-8EX can NOT perform this type COSM Guitar Modeling

But VG-99 can.
