Wow!  Total Steve Hillage/Unzipping the Zype vibe.  I dig it!  I wish I could have seen that live!

Update - I was spinning this throughout most of the day and am impressed.  All the different drum patterns had to have been from Ableton and Nanokontrol right?  It sounded like everything was seamlessly crossfaded so you could keep the tempo similar for the dancers - And the synth bass from the GR-55?  Great!

I have to say you're an awesome funk rhythm guitar player, really infectious but I was surprised - I've never heard you cut loose on lead guitar like that before so I was smiling ear to ear.  Great stuff!

here is the run down of my live rig...
first i make all my own drum loops via v-drums or drums
all the percussion is either me or goerge lawler  my best friend studio partner for over 20 years...he lives in chicago
but we still work on the regular via the web http://www.youtube.com/user/Jamoflage/videos

the track lay out is old school in the sense that i come from a "dub" back ground
kik is ch. 1
snare hat ch. 2
2nd snare hat "loops" ch3
hand claps ch 4
perc1 ch 5
perc2 ch 6
samples / loops 1 ch 7
samples / loops 2 ch 8

i sub group these to 4 channels....faders 1-4
i use the nanokontrol to filter / mute and effect these...
i use 4 loopers in albeton which i also control the mutes filters and fx sends with ....faders 5-8
ch 9 is my delay filter / feedback

i have 100's of home made loops to pick from and use the launch pad to fire off loops....
so i can mix and match on the fly
this has been my basic set up for 20 years i just ported my hardware rig to a laptop

i also have a mic / vocoder that i can turn on via the nanokontrol 16 buttons are nice =)

i hope this make sense and i guess i should do a demo video one day demonstrating my rig

oh and i love to play guitar solos ;)
