Hi!
Here is the bunch of weird sound samples made by me, using only VG-99:

I think this bunch more interesting in the way of sounds making or something, than a normal guitar playing...

Yes, it's very easy to get sounds out of the VG-99 that sound nothing like a guitar or standard FX.

Now THAT is more like the sounds I've been making with the VG-99...well, ok, some standard guitar stuff, but lots of drones!
mmmmmmmm.

Any chance of getting the VG-99 patches used?

Cool.  I'd like taking a look at these patches as well.  In the meantime, I continue to try and figure out how Bill Ruppert created that amazing VG-99 strings patch.

I agree, these are more interesting than the traditional stuff.  I'd be interested in getting either patches or some tips on how to go about creating such sounds.

Thanx for response!
The basic point in creating all of those sounds is using freeze and filter (LPF, mainly) feature of VG-99.
Here is the one patch for example. Don't be under a delusion   ;)  - its not sounds like something special if you play it in familiar way.

small example:
1. Take the note, chord or anything on guitar.
2. Move your hand or guitar neck down to the D-Beam Controller (set on T-Arm)...
3. ..and quickly turn on Freeze! ( push  CTL2 button).
4. On ribbon controller you can tweak with LPF and with F6 - reso.

Then more quickly you make step 2-3 then more strange sound may be born.
I dont explore how this trick could be useful in normal playing (not just freezed sounds)... If someone do, please let me know!

P.S. Sorry for my english:)

I love it.  You'd never assume it was a guitar if you weren't told.
