I have learned that unofficially Steinberger is considering a model with the Roland GK-3 installed. Keep this under your hats for now we don't want to jinx it.

Yeah - Posting to the internet is always a good way to keep it under our hats ;-)
That WOULD be nice if they came out with one.

That would be cool. Since it's roller saddle based it's an ideal match for a hex pickup (just like the Kahler trem).

Of course I won't get too excited since none of the new Stienbergers seem to be offered in lefty.  :(

Any further follow up on this?  I am thinking of buying a ZT3 and having Roland custom install the pickup if they will.  But it would really be great if Steinberger would do it from the factory.

Unfortunately I would have to say no at this time. That whole company is probably tied up with building all the regular guitars they sell and getting the Dark Fire operational to a point that it does not become a big flop. There are also rummers that Peavy and Gibson are going to either get bought by one or the other or merge? I have not been interested enough to look into it.

I have a ZT3 and use it as a non GK choice and it is wonderful! You will never find a guitar with a whammy that stays in tune better that the Steinberger!
