Thanks!  After honing in on the fact that the LGXT would probably be the best match for my needs, I just started typing "Godin LGXT" into Amazon's search box.  Interestingly, this also returns some xtSAs and LGX-SAs in addtion to LGXTs.

Doing that doesn't reveal all of the deals that your links above do, but it did reveal this!

Also interesting that this guitar now shows QTY 3 but the price didn't move.  Now they're going to make go back tomorrow to see how much more I could have saved...  :-\

But Lowest Ive ever seen an  LGXT on Amazon is $799 this past summer

I'm really happy with the deal I got.  Seems like the way this works is that if you hold out too long in hopes of saving more, you run the risk of coming back and having the price shoot way back up.  "Snooze and lose" as GovernerSilver puts it. :)

I figure on the off chance I don't like the guitar [I'm going strictly by reviews here, which I guess most have to with Godin], I should be able to sell it for at least what I have in it.

I guess I did!  I took delivery on Friday.  Amazon delivered this one quickly (2 days, free shipping with Prime membership) and in perfect condition.  I've only had a small amount of time to play it.  I will post some more detailed impressions and probably a few questions in the dedicated Godin LGXT thread soon.  Here I will just say that this axe was worth every penny and more.  Sweet, rich tones and lots of them, excellent playability, quality materials and craftsmanship, and it's a beauty too!  I'm very happy with this purchase.

Do Godin synth access guitars like the LGXT typically include a 13-pin cable?

Thanks - just wanted to make sure Amazon included everything.  There was no owners manual with the LGXT either, which seemed odd.  No big deal though since they're available online at the links above.

Congrats SuperNiCd!!!  I used to own the same model (and color) and really regret ever sellng it. Super versatile instrument.

Thanks!  In my experience so far, I agree 100%.  It is truly a joy to pick up and play.  My feeling is that it is really worth the MSRP, so to have gotten such a great deal on it  -  I feel very lucky.

Fingers crossed for you, Vade.  I don't really understand what Amazon is doing here.  You'd think if their intent was to clearance current year models, they'd just continue lowering the price until they were gone.   Instead their sale operates as if they really, really just want to sell one or two - like they're trying to hit their sales numbers for this week or month.  Very strange.  I don't get it, but definitely worth it to stop in 2x a day and see if you can hit the lottery!

That was a killer deal on a LGX-T!  I had one for a few years.  Really liked how it sounded and played but it
didn't stay in tune very well (early 2000's model, maybe they're better now).  Had a Jazz Multiac SA for a bit
too, that was a pretty cool guitar as well.  Soft spot for Godin here.  Anyone play the Passion SA model?

I have logged maybe a dozen hours on the LGXT now - all playing @ home, no gigs yet.  It stays in tune as well as I'd expect any guitar with a floating bridge to stay in tune.  If I get into the tremolo bar for some bends then it's probably time for a quick tuning tweak after that song.  Otherwise, I'm adjusting intonation about as often as on my LP.

The tremolo mechanism feels pretty stiff and seems to have limited travel as compared to a strat, so maybe those are some things they've done to make the intonation more solid?  I'm considering installing the tremolo stopper suggested by Elantric to give a little more stability, but even without it, I don't think it's going to be a problem.

This discontinued Godin A10 model has been bouncing between $488 and $526 for the past week at Amazon.com

The RMC Piezo PU and PolyDrive Electronics alone cost about the same as the total asking price for this Godin A10 Steel string "MultiAc" type guitar with GK 13 pin output at Amazon

http://www.midi-classics.com/brands/RMC-Pickup-Co..html

Quote I want to let you know that this guitar was inspired by a Peruvian instrument known as " requinto " used in Peruvian folk music musical genre conosido as huayno .

Godin was guided by the Peruvian luthier Antonio Huamani Granados.

$270 = RMC Piezo Saddles for Steel String Acoustic

$290 = RMC Poly-Drive IV Onboard Polyphonic Active Electronics for Acoustic Guitar
http://www.midi-classics.com/PD403-12A-57863/

Solid Cedar Top, Chambered Silver Leaf Maple body, 1 7/8" nut width, Mahogany neck, Natural Cedar Satin finish, Deluxe Gigbag included
Custom RMC electronics with 13-pin connector for direct control of Roland GR Series and Axon AX100 guitar synths
This guitar is designed to have the high tripled high E & B strings tuned in unison. The result is an amazing shimmer effect when strumming chords and a thick almost chorus like effect when playing leads

The A10 is a very unique special short run 10 String Acoustic Electric from the Godin. The A10 is built on the framework of the ACS-SA model that features a thicker piece of cedar for the top and a chambered maple body. This guitar is designed to have the high tripled high E & B strings tuned in unison. The result is an amazing shimmer effect when strumming chords and a thick almost chorus like effect when playing leads. The "width" of the effect can be manipulated by detuning one of the 3 strings. This is a really interesting and unique instrument. Only one batch was made and most were delivered outside of the USA. The A10 blends classical guitar concepts with elements of solid body design. The incredibly comfortable neck from the Multiac Nylon is used here with a Maple body to achieve our most affordable synth access guitar ever. Although the body is chambered, response from the cedar top is more typical of a solid body design than that of a traditional acoustic guitar. This design results in an instrument that is virtually free of feedback, making it easy to use even when the band gets loud. The engine in the A10 includes individual transducer saddles powered by a customized preamp system from the RMCTM Pickup Company. This system not only produces superb amplified sound, but also produces a hexaphonic output through a 13-pin connector enabling direct access to GR-Series guitar synthesizers.

I like larger necks  - this one has a 1 7/8" wide Nut -  and I figure I will use as a 6 string at gigs where they demand I play "Acoustic" - probably use with a GP-10 or Antares ATG-1 in 2015

As I said - I had been watching this Godin A10 "deal" for a week.

They were selling it for $488 last weekend and then yesterday (Wednesday Jan 21, 2015)  it went up to $526

I ordered one this morning   - and now its going up - now at $735

But recheck each day as the price may fluctuate quite a lot daily

Re-read this thread from the 1st post, which describes my observations on the fluctuating Amazon Price Robots for Godin Guitars

https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=9564.msg93788#msg93788
Yes - by checking the Qnty available and Current price, and rechecking twice a day

From my Experience buying Guitars via Amazon Sales ( I've purchased 5 guitars on Amazon in past 4 years) there is "the Amazon Current Price Fluctuater" equation that Amazon computers employ to reduce inventory and make room for new stock and still yield profit margin.

When a Guitar you want is low price, and still at QNTY 10, as soon as anyone purchases one the price instantly goes up by 10-30% and QNTY will be at 9. But if nobody else buys more of that model guitar, and inventory holds at the same level,  the price "may" go down within a week.  Read 1st post in this thread for a history lesson on how I snagged Two New 2012 Godin XTsa's for $530 each.

Looks Like I scored when this same guitar was $526 last week!
