Here's my attempts at nailing that elusive Allan Holdsworth Sound (I first heard it on JLP's Enigmatic Ocean and Bill Bruford's incredible 'Feels Good To Me' albums).

I did a little research before attempting this – then dabbled with various configurations in an attempt to colour in sound and texture.  There's a hint of reverse delay in all of them.  The 'v' variant has a little synth violin behind it – the 'g' variant has some synth guitar distortion. When playing these, it's important to try to emulate Holsdworth's picking style, together with his trademark vibrato in the longer notes – hopefully you will then begin to hear his tone coming through.

These were created using my piezo loaded Godin LGXT – so GK users may need to tweak certain set-up parameters to suit.
Please feel free to tweak and re-post if your ears and GR55 experience can get closer to his trademark sound.

Hope they add something!
