I found this while looking for answers about guitar cab IRs.

It's called The Scientist and Engineer's Guide to Digital Signal Processing, by Stephen W. Smith Ph.D. The book is totally free to read online or you can download it in its entirety (also free). It sells for $30 and more on Amazon. There is even homework questions, computer programming exercises, and programs free for download. On of the programs is an FFT program with data files. Also free.

The writing is clear and concise. It is targeted at both students and professionals. There is some advanced math, but even with no calculus, it should be understandable by most with good high school math.

Thanks for the hint. I just bought the paperback version.
But I got more gear than I need...and I like it!
