I've had my LGX-SA since about 2007 and I have no intention of ever selling or trading it. Thus, I don't care if my idea lowers the resale value of the instrument, I just want to know if it's worthwhile or even possible. I tried the RMC filter to remove the subsonic noise from the 13-pin output, and I have to say I didn't hear much of a difference with my VG-99; compared to my Ibanez with GK-3, the GR-300 emulation still sounds "off" and some of the other models kind of quack.

So, since the LGX-SA already has the switches, knobs, and output jack for a GK-3, would it be possible to install the internal GK-3 kit and feed it into the existing infrastructure in place of the RMC? Would the piezo still work?

Very little room for adding a GK-KIT-GT3 board without cutting a lot of wood.

Piezos will still work only if you leave all the existing RMC Polydrive boards in place.

I would try a REVERSIBLE external GK-3 install with foam tape for GK PU , just to test the results first.
